Honda XR50 | CRF50R - Full Exhaust System

The development team at Pro-Tec made the decision to build an exhaust system that would substantially improve the ever-popular Honda XR50. Following the process of our typical exhaust development procedures we were able to capture and magnify the power of the peppy XR.

Along with performance enhancements we designed the exhaust system to be rider friendly. Our pipe tucks in for increased leg and ground clearance that allows the bike to be ridden aggressively and diminishes the chance of leg burn from a hot exhaust pipe.

Of course reliability and fit are always a top priority for us when producing a product. One of the areas we felt the need to address was the mounting of the pipe. To assure a secure and reliable installation we included a center mount on the headpipe section of the exhaust pipe. Extensive track testing has proven this additional mounting lug to be an improvement in overall reliability.

Peak power with the stock exhaust system is reached at approximately 7800 RPM. We were able to raise the peak power point to 8500 RPM with a 17% increase in overall horsepower. This increase is achieved by the use of our unique stepped headpipe. By stepping the headpipe we are able to provide increased power for all levels of engine modification. Our small mega-phone design leading into the U.S.F.S. qualified spark arrester produces additional power enhancements. (removable spark arrestor is included) We have also incorporated a dead-air cooling chamber at the end of the spark arrester to cause rapid exhaust gas evacuation resulting in improved acceleration. Engine combinations from standard to big bore will produce excellent gains in power.

Appearance features include thermal ceramic coating for temperature control and bright look, machined billet end cap for strength and reliability and, as with all Pro-Tec Mach 1 exhaust systems, it is A.N.S. ready.

For those who ride in sound sensitive areas Pro-Tec has developed an Adjustable Noise Suppressor (A.N.S.) for the Mach 1 line of exhaust systems. Easily installed and easily adjusted, the Pro-Tec A.N.S. is a must for anyone in need of improved performance without excessive noise.
